Since 2020, the Bertelsmann Stiftung's Health Programme has been intensively studying the potential of Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs). The current SPOTLIGHT HEALTHCARE summarises the findings to date – specifically of the recently published studies on the status of the use of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) in Germany and in international comparison. Through the analysis of concrete examples of PROM use and implementation strategies in different countries, the potential hurdles as well as success factors for the implementation were identified and corresponding recommendations for action could be derived.
