Short Vita

  • Dr. Sebastian Schmidt-Kaehler has been Co-Director of the Bertelsmann Stiftung's Health program since August 2020. Previously, he was managing partner of Patientenprojekte GmbH, where he was responsible in various contexts for the effective communication of health-related information and the creation of structures for patient-centered care. From 2011 to 2015, the health scientist and social pedagogue was responsible for the strategic and operational management of Germany’s Independent Patient Advisory Service. Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Project Manager at the Bertelsmann Stiftung and played a key role in developing the "Weisse Liste" online platform (www.weisse-liste.de).
