Description

Germany and Israel have, to a remarkable extent, grown closer in recent decades and now have strong ties on all levels and in numerous areas. At the same time, the German-Israeli relationship is not devoid of misunderstanding and conflict. The study "Germany and Israel Today: Between Connection and Alienation" examines the current state of the two countries’ relations.

Overall, the German-Israeli relations today are in good shape. Yet Israelis have a much more positive opinion of Germany than, conversely, Germans do of Israel. Signs of alienation can potentially be seen among the younger generation in both countries in particular.
